dxCapture Privacy Policy

Privacy notice for the dxCapture web app, browser extension, workspace media, share links, advertising, and operational records.

Section 01

Controller and contact

  1. 1.1

dxCapture is a browser capture, upload, sharing, and media workspace operated for recording, storing, organizing, and delivering user-controlled browser evidence.

  2. 1.2

Send product questions, privacy requests, abuse reports, and legal notices to contact@doxanh.dev.

Section 02

Categories of information

  1. 2.1

Account and session data may include verified email, dxAuth identity reference, dxCapture web session metadata, subscription and renewal status, owner account, plan, admin role, a pseudonymous browser-device id, and the paired extension installation id.

  2. 2.2

Capture and workspace data may include videos, screenshots, thumbnails, posters, titles, descriptions, media type, duration, size, status, owner account, share mode, collections, and saved-media membership.

  3. 2.3

Operational data may include upload sessions, signed upload metadata, media view events, protected-share unlock attempts, audit logs, error data, service-health data, and storage information.

  4. 2.4

Contact enquiries may include name, email, company, subject, message, delivery status, and a pseudonymous request hash used for abuse prevention.

  5. 2.5

Advertising records may include advertising policy state and ad-slot placement decisions. dxCapture currently displays first-party house promotions and does not load Google ad tags. If Google advertising is enabled later, Google and its advertising partners may process cookies, identifiers, device data, prior visits, ad interactions, and measurement signals according to the configured ad product and consent choices.

Section 03

Processing purposes

  1. 3.1

We use information to create and secure dxCapture sessions after dxAuth verification, record, upload, process, store, display, and deliver media, enforce owner permissions, share controls, plan limits, retention rules, and abuse protections.

  2. 3.2

We use information to operate collections, owner portal pages, extension handoff, viewer pages, contact delivery, seven-day Pro expiry notifications, house ads or approved third-party ads, reliability monitoring, abuse investigation, and legal compliance.

Section 04

Recording responsibility

  1. 4.1

Users are responsible for recording only content they are allowed to record and share. Users should notify or obtain consent from participants when applicable law, workplace policy, platform rules, confidentiality obligations, or the nature of the content requires consent.

Section 05

Cookies and extension storage

  1. 5.1

dxCapture may use session cookies, local storage, browser extension storage, extension installation ids, browser capture APIs after user action, operational logs, and audit records. These necessary technologies support sign-in, capture, upload, sharing, playback, security, and reliability.

  2. 5.2

Google ad tags and optional advertising storage are currently disabled. Where consent is legally required, dxCapture will not request Google ads until a valid consent signal has been collected through an eligible consent management platform.

Section 06

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

  1. 6.1

Information received from Chrome APIs is used only to provide or improve the user-facing capture, secure transfer, and workspace features described in this policy. This use complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  2. 6.2

We do not use or transfer that information for personalized advertising, sell it to data brokers, use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending, or allow human review except with the user's affirmative consent, for security or abuse investigation, to comply with applicable law, or as otherwise permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

Section 07

Share-link access

  1. 7.1

Public pages may be viewable by anyone with access to the page. Unlisted pages may be viewable by anyone with the link. Password and PIN pages require an unlock step before delivery.

  2. 7.2

Access controls reduce unintended access, but users should not upload or share content they are not authorized to disclose.

Section 08

Disclosures and service providers

  1. 8.1

We may share information with infrastructure providers that host, store, deliver, secure, or monitor the service, with dxAuth to complete sign-in and verify identity, with advertising providers if third-party advertising is enabled, and with an organization or workspace owner when media is created under that workspace.

  2. 8.2

If Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to dxCapture or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve and measure personalized ads where the visitor has made an eligible choice. Visitors can manage personalized advertising in My Ad Center.

  3. 8.3

We may also share information when required by law, security, abuse investigation, or rights protection. We do not sell uploaded media.

Section 09

Retention and deletion

  1. 9.1

Media, metadata, upload sessions, share settings, view events, audit rows, and abuse/security data are retained according to dxCapture operational retention rules. Some data is soft-deleted first and then removed by cleanup jobs after a grace period.

  2. 9.2

Free images and videos are retained for 30 days. Pro media is retained while the paid period remains active and for 90 days after Pro expires. Incomplete upload objects are removed after 3 hours, and unsaved private drafts are removed after 24 hours.

Section 10

Security safeguards

  1. 10.1

dxCapture uses controls such as owner-scoped APIs, one-browser account binding, separate web and extension sessions, one-time handoff codes, signed upload and delivery URLs, hashed share passwords and PINs, timed-link expiry, plan gates, failed-unlock controls, and audit logging.

  2. 10.2

No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Section 11

Privacy rights

  1. 11.1

Depending on location, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or consent withdrawal.

  2. 11.2

Requests should be sent to contact@doxanh.dev.

Section 12

Children and international use

  1. 12.1

dxCapture is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone below the minimum age required by applicable law. Users must not submit children's personal information through the service.

  2. 12.2

If dxCapture is offered outside the operator's home jurisdiction, additional transfer, lawful-basis, and local rights disclosures may be required.

Section 13

Policy changes

  1. 13.1

We may update this policy. Material changes should be posted with an updated date and, where appropriate, additional notice.
